What is P90X3?

P90X3 is not just thirty minutes of working out. According to Tony Horton, its creator and also the trainer, it is simply your entire daily workout in half the time, and in this case, the time is only thirty minutes. One may assume that it is a continuation of  P90X, but Horton assures you that P90X3 is a new curriculum that fills your thirty minutes with intense, not forgetting, efficient workouts.

The P90X3 workout contains sixteen intense thirty-minute workouts stacked in eight DVDs. These workouts are grouped into four, focusing on significant body training strategies. They include:

1. Resistance workouts-The eccentric upper and eccentric lower, the Warrior, the Challenge, the Incinerator and the Total Synergistic exercises.
2. Core, Flex and Balance Workouts-The Pilates X, the Isometrix, the X3 Yoga and the Dynamix.
3. Power workouts-The Triometrics, the Agility X and the Decelerator.

I can assure you, the workout won't be anything like this...

Other than this, it features new patterns in training with an introduction of weighted cardio workouts, super-efficient practices in doing Pilates, diverse and extreme martial arts as well as isometrics dealing with balance, coordination and flexibility even in the absence of static holds. Of significance are the new core training moves that include athletic Ab exercises that are done standing or facing the ground instead of the normal back technique.

Upon playing the chosen DVD, you can choose from three different plans:

1. The Classic-It includes both cardio and resistance workouts for the purpose of 'getting ripped' by burning fat and getting muscle.
2. Lean-More concentration is made on the cardiovascular workouts to burn fat, tone up without the increase of muscle mass.
3. Mass-Combined with the intake of foods dense in calories, this schedule provides you with increased resistance training to ensure increased muscle mass.

In fact, the P90X3 is an evidence-based home training program. In a research conducted by beachbody.com, among 40 people, to find out its efficiency, it was found that 39 people lost around 10% of their body fat, placing the entire group at an average of 34% fat loss.

With P90X3, expect to get ripped and become even stronger. Fitness goals that range from body toning without the extra bulk, to toning with the extra muscle mass can be easily achieved, in thirty minutes every day.

What is 22 Minute Hard Corps?

'Watch the weight "fall off"' is the most common slogan associated with the 22 Minute Hard Corps (22-MHC) workout. Created as a basic training program for 8 weeks, the 22-minute workout offers an intense training program by Tony Horton. It combines the richness of Military expertise and simplicity in physical training to produce a unique and superbly efficient weight loss and intense strength gain program.

The 22-MHC is designed to have two different training schedules:

1. Cardio workouts.
These are grouped into three sections basically, the Cardio 1, 2 and 3.
Cardio 1 contains seven moves for the purpose of increasing your heart rate and extensive calorie burning.
Cardio 2 is basic training, but the performer should not assume its simplicity. It contains three repeats (reps) each with seven exercises just like Cardio 1, but the workouts in this step are more intense than the previous.
Cardio 3 is equipped with three rounds of floor work as well as plyometric workouts. Tony Horton describes the perfect use of the 22-MHC as the intentional delivery of every single rep the group delivers to attain MAXIMUM results.

2. Resistance training.
Similarly, it is grouped into 3 schedules: Resistance 1, 2 and 3.
Resistance 1 includes 3 back to back reps of five simple moves.
The difficulty is increased in Resistance 2 by performing the exercises with increased resistance.
In Resistance 3, plyo moves are also incorporated in order to raise the level of difficulty, which is also a test of endurance.

Notably, Beachbody.com has gone further to provide a quick start manual for the program, 2 core exercises, a nutritional field guide and a pre-workout drill. Enrollment into the 22-MHC boot camp involves both nutritional and physical body therapy through exercise.

22 Minute Hard Corps VS P90X3

Differences:

1. 22-MHC is created to be performed for 22 minutes every day, for eight weeks, with the delivery of every rep. The P90X3, on the other hand, is performed for thirty minutes non-stop every day.
2. 22-MHC contains a modifier. If the trainee is falling back with the rest of the training group on the DVD, he can simply follow the person playing the role of the modifier until he is able to get up to speed with the rest of the members. The P90X3 on the other hand does not contain a modifier.

3. 22-MHC contains only cardio and resistance workouts, that are generally 6 in number for three reps each, while the P90X3 contains resistance, core, flex and balance, and power workouts. The workouts in the P90X3 are sixteen in total. Therefore there's a better variety of exercises with the P90X3 program.
4. With the 22-MHC, you can expect to gain strength and burn fat. The P90X3 on the other hand offers a variety of functions: You can remain lean, ton up, gain muscle mass and also burn fat.
5. 22-MHC offers basic training and incorporates simple exercises for physical training stretched over eight weeks. P90X3 offers sixteen varying workouts that focus on training different parts of the body.
6. 22-MHC workouts have a military inspiration behind the choice of the workouts, while the P90X3 is inspired by the concept and effectiveness of short and intense workouts.
7. The 22-MHC workout kit costs two monthly payments of $19.95 while the P90X3 kit costs a payment of $39.95 each month for three consecutive periods.

Similarities:

1. Both workouts require the use of equipment at some point. In the 22-MHC and the P90X3, resistance bands, dumbbells and pull-up bars are needed to perform resistance and core workouts.
2. Both workouts are made by the same company, Beachbody, and inspired by the same trainer, Tony Horton.
3. Both workouts serve the same purpose when it comes to burning fat and weight loss.

Clearly, the 22-MHC and the P90X3 are two very differently scheduled home workout programs that serve the purpose to which they are intended. Depending on your personal fitness goals, both workouts support a stronger better body through exercise and super good nutrition.
