Today I'll discuss the two most important principles of the 2B Mindset that lead to fast and consistent weight loss: drinking water and eating vegetables.

Water First...How Drinking Water Can Help You Lose A Lot Of Weight
Drinking water is a very effective way to lose weight because it helps keep you full. It helps to suppress your appetite and prevent making bad food choices. Prior to the 2B Mindset, I found myself snacking, a lot. I would eat dinner, then 45 minutes later find myself grazing and snacking throughout the evening. Now I find myself drinking water during these cravings and it accomplishes three things...
- It suppress my appetite and eliminates my hunger for snacking
- It changes my mind and made me realize I was just snacking because I was bored.
- If I am truly hungry I now stop and realize I should be snacking on something that is healthy and not empty calories
According to Ilana you should drink half your weight in in water, in ounces at a minimum each day.
Also, and just as important, you should drink 16 ounces of water before each meal. Even before your morning cup of coffee.
Drinking 16 ounces of water before each meal essentially "calms" your stomach and brain into making better food choices. A "full" stomach of water will calm immediate food cravings and allow you to eat your next meal without binging or eating excessively.
Veggies Most...The Second Principle In The 2B Mindset Is A Powerful Way To Lose Weight
Similar to drinking water, eating a lot of vegetables is not a new concept when trying to lose weight. However, the information presented in the 2B Mindset videos makes eating vegetables a simple, practical, and fun way to lose a ton of weight.
Ilana's concept of "veggies most" is a simple reminder that eating vegetables is a great way to lose weight. Here's why...
- Similar to water, vegetables make you feel full and satisfied
- The more meals that include vegetables, the more you'll lose weight
- Find veggies you love and make them your "go-to's" . But also explore vegetables you've never tried
- Vegetables can be enjoyed in many different ways. Ilana has many videos describing simple and delicious ways to incorporate veggies into meals
The video that accompanies the veggies principle of the 2B Mindset is great. Ilana not only explains the details of the concepts I wrote about above, but presents vegetables in a whole new way. I never thought of incorporating veggies in my diet the way she describes. As a result, I've found new and interesting ways to get veggies in my diet and its made a real difference in my weight, appearance, and overall health.
For example, I love to snack and graze. I found drinking water helps curb a lot of my bad snacking habits, but if I truly am hungry, I'll now snack on veggies rather than chips or some other bad carb.
Now, rather than reach for chips and salsa, I'll reach for the salsa, but dip carrots, sugar snap peas, or even broccoli into the salsa. This satisfies my snack craving without consuming bad carbs that come with eating a ton of chips. This is one of many helpful hints that she presents in these videos.

In the following video she discusses veggies and how to incorporate them into your diet if your hesitant or just not sure what veggies you might like to try.
